Many organizations adopt AI but see little impact. This talk identifies why that happens and how to make AI serve real business objectives. Drawing on practical cases, it covers the organizational and operational enablers of success—culture, HR and performance evaluation, project direction, collaboration, process design, and AI education and implementation—distilling the key conditions required to deliver business results with AI.

After earning a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Seoul National University, Prof. Jang completed an M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Southern California and a Ph.D. in Business Administration at aSSIST (Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies).

He worked at Visa, EDS, American Airlines, Amadeus (Germany), and Oracle headquarters. After returning to Korea in 1996, he served as Director of Consulting at Oracle Korea, Country Manager of Siebel Korea, Vice President of SAS Korea, Partner at Deloitte Consulting, Head of Consulting at Ernst & Young, Managing Consultant at Future Reading Consulting, Vice President of Teradata Korea, and Big Data PM at the Agency for Defense Development—leading management and IT consulting for hundreds of companies.

An expert in big data and AI, he lectures for major enterprises and public institutions, speaks at conferences, and contributes to various media outlets. He currently leads AIBB LAB, chairs the Big Data Professionals Council, and serves as Program Director for the Chief AI Officer (CAIO) program at KAIST’s Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI.
