Junho Lim is a Research Fellow at LG Energy Solution and leads the Product Development AI Team within CDO AI/Big Data 1. He is driving innovation in battery prediction, design, and verification by applying AI throughout the battery product development process.

He earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the School of Electrical Engineering at KAIST and has published numerous international research papers in computer vision, deep learning, and knowledge distillation. His research has received more than 4,500 citations on Google Scholar.

Before joining LG Energy Solution in 2022, he served as a startup CTO and as a team leader at Hyundai Motor Company’s AIRS Company. He currently leads the development of AI technologies and services for battery product development, including lithium plating and sudden-drop prediction, AI-based optimal design exploration, and advanced product-development AI services. In 2026, he was appointed as LG Energy Solution’s first Research Fellow in the field of AI.
