In the AI Era, Data Doesn’t Just Sit — It Moves: A New Standard for Analytics Storage
Session Overview
In the AI era, data is not merely accumulated and archived—it is constantly moving and being transformed to meet AI workloads. This session proposes a new standard for operating storage in AI analytics environments to enable efficient data movement and storage while optimizing cost.
In particular, we will share customer use cases covering strategies based on the IBM Storage Scale System, including data tiering, policy-based management, and real-time analytics support. In the latter part of the talk, we will also briefly introduce the concept of Content-aware Storage (CAS)—which automatically classifies data by content and optimizes storage policies—and outline the future direction of storage operations.
