Building Tomorrow: Robotics for Industry and Humanity
Session Overview
Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) Robotics LAB connects R&D and business strategy to solve various problems in society and industry through robotics. Its goal is not only to develop new technologies, but also to turn them into real products and services that address key challenges such as aging, labor shortages, and industrial safety. To do this, Robotics LAB focuses on three main areas: user-centered and AI-based software, differentiated hardware, and integrated solutions that include services.
In this presentation, we will introduce the key technologies and development direction of Robotics LAB. Through examples such as X-ble Shoulder and MobED, we will explain how technologies developed in the R&D stage grow into commercial products and AI-based robotic services. We will also focus on how these technologies are applied in real-world settings and connected to business, and how AI and robotics are driving meaningful change.
In addition, robotics is a very broad field that cannot be completed by one company alone. For this reason, we will also introduce HMC Robotics LAB's open innovation and partnership-based ecosystem strategy. Through this, we aim to show how technology advancement, business development, and service expansion can be connected in one flow, and how robotics in the AI era can drive industrial change and create new value for users.
